WOULD YOU SEND $10 TO KEEP OUR CABLE AD RUNNING IN IOWA?

On July 29, I sent out an appeal for the running this ad https://youtu.be/z3mjxTigoBk on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News in Des Moines, Iowa.

The purpose of the ad is to support members of the Catholic Worker and Veterans for Peace in Des Moines who will be challenging 2020 Presidential candidates to pledge to stop U.S. drone attacks. https://www.knowdrones.com/

There has been but one contribution as the result of our appeal, for which we are very grateful.  2nd

I have to think that more of you have not contributed because you, like me, are being hammered with worthy, necessary fund appeals, given the incessant, broad range of vicious outrages being perpetrated by the executive branch of the federal government.

Recognizing that the continuing U.S. drone war campaign is one of these outrages, regardless of whether it is covered by the mainstream press, would you be willing to contribute $10 to support the Des Moines ad campaign.

We know the ad is being watched because of the hits we have received from the Des Moines metropolitan area on the Knowdrones.com website.

This article  https://truthout.org/articles/activists-confront-2020-candidates-in-iowa-about-drones-and-war/  explains why killer drones are NOT “just another” weapon and how the U.S. drone war is key to the accumulation of wealth here and abroad.

“If we can do a good job in Iowa with this national campaign”, says Frank Cordaro, of the Des Moines Catholic Worker, “our fellow peace and justice people in the rest of the country will have a better chance of making this pledge campaign a national movement …”
