TWO NEW DRONE BASES TO OPEN IN THE U.S.; THREE TO EXPAND

A new Reaper drone base is planned for Shaw AFB in Sumter, South Carolina, and it appears that there will be a new drone base also Tyndall AFB in Panama City, Florida. https://www.nwfdailynews.com/news/20180530/drone-squadron-coming-to-hurlburt

Drone operations will be expanded at Holloman and Creech AFBs, according to a must-read drone budget summary prepared by Dan Gettinger, of the Center for the Study of the Drone at Bard College.

https://dronecenter.bard.edu/files/2018/04/CSD-Drone-Spending-FY19-Web-1.pdf  Expansion of drone operations at Hancock Air National Guard Base outside Syracuse was announced last year. https://www.syracuse.com/politics/index.ssf/2018/10/congress_oks_43m_to_expand_drone_base_at_syracuse_hancock_field.html
