Toby Blomé, of CODEPINK, and Phil Wilayto, of United National Antiwar Coalition, were among about a dozen mostly German protesters who were arrested on June 30, 2018 by German police as they blockaded the U.S. Ramstein air base in Germany during the fourth annual protest that this year drew about 2,500.
Below is a detailed report on the protest by Elsa Rassbach, CODEPINK representative in Germany who has been a member of the Stop Air Base Ramstein Campaign Coordinating Committee since 2015. Press links are included.

Finally, Toby has asked that we mobilize to bring as many people as possible to Creech AFB, just north of Las Vegas, for the fourth annual SHUT DOWN CREECH protest, organized by CODEPINK on Sept. 6 – Oct. 30. http://codepinkgoldengate.org/event/2018-big-changes-for-our-drone-resistance-weeks-at-creech-air-force-base/
This event has the potential for being an extremely powerful protest not only of drone killing but the air war slaughter now being waged by the U.S. in Afghanistan and Yemen (the latter in company with Saudis). Here is an article from The Intercept that documents the central role of Creech, in company with Ramstein, in U.S. global drone war. https://theintercept.com/2015/04/17/ramstein/
(Toby will write a report of her experience in Germany when she returns home, and it will be published here.)
